This was my favorite show when it premiered in January and when it was re-new I was surprised and so happy!
As I realized while watching Jessica Jones-I love a British accent +mind control + sinister charm and the character of Lucifer Morningstar played by the alluring Tom Ellis is all that and more. At first I thought the idea of Lucifer leaving hell and hanging out in LA as silly but I tuned in and liked the show right away. On the outside Lucifer acts like your typical police procedural but when the devil is your consultant your job becomes anything but typical.
Chloe played by Lauren German is a b-movie actress turned cop who meets Lucifer at his nightclub, Lux, while on a case and from the moment they meet he is fascinated by her. Of course Chloe doesn’t believe he is the actual Lucifer but begrudging allows him to help her out on all of her other cases.
Lucifer is a fun, light-hearted and partly mythical show. The cast-including Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze (Bartender and Lucifer’s BFF), D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel (Lucifer’s Brother and angel) and the adorable Scarlett Estevez as Trixie (Chloe’s daughter) are wonderful and make Lucifer a show worth taking a chance on and begins season 2 tonight on FOX at 9.
