As each episode began with a body, banter between the two title characters and a phone call. It was that simple for this police pucedual about to women who were smart, funny and always there for each other. The setting was Boston. The plot centered around two strong characters, Jane Rizzoli played by Angie Harmon, a tough cop and Maura Isles played by Sasha Alexander, a medical examiner who played by the rules and had a fact for any and all situations.
There was also the other members of the Rizzoli Family…
Angela-A mom who always had food and wisdom for any who need some played by Lorraine Bracco
Frankie Jr-A younger brother who followed Jane by becoming a cop played by Jordan Bridges
And sometimes Tommy-Another brother who didn’t knew what to do with his life until he had a child of his own played by Colin Egglesfield
Working with Rizzoli and Isles were
Vince Korsak- A cop who is partnered with Jane and has been on the job for a number of years played by Bruce McGill
Barry Frost-Played by the late Lee Thompson Young
And Nina-played by Idara Victor who took over for Frost and fell in love with Frankie Jr.
